The Rokslide Stock Traders Thread

I bought more ETH and BTC while it was “on sale” today. The big dip seems to be related to the Biden administration’s announcement that crypto purchases over 10k must be reported for tax purposes. While this may cause criminals headaches, it mostly just further legitimizes Cryptos in my mind since that treats it like any other financial transaction of that proportion. China throwing a sudden temper tantrum over Cryptos will just make the currency that much more desirable.

Keep in mind of course that any time that Hindenburg drops a report they are actively shorting the stock. They want the stock to go down. I am not saying they are wrong but their intentions are not pure.
Yep, holding a decent amount of HMBL and FORW, and I was pissed to read that article, and then I read that caveat. Hindenburg are paid to write that sh t because it greatly profits THEM. Should be illegal!
That said, Brian Foote should refute it or let someone else run the company.

In too deep to cut losses, I'll hold. The model looks sound aside from the side shows.

Buy Crypto!
Says everyone you talk to. Most do not even know what crypto is but their brother's, uncle's cousin is rich because of it. I own Crypto and think it can be a good investment, but the market is even more volatile now that Social media ( reddit) and influencers like Musk have started spouting. Invest wisely is all I can say. The bottom could fall out even more or it could 5x in the next 2 weeks. ALT coins are wild AF.

if you are in it for the long haul, not a bad time. If your looking for a quick buck it’s a crapshoot.

If you are in it for the long game now is not a bad time, if you are looking for a quick buck it’s a crapshoot. I do expect another big correction to happen like we had Wed. Maybe this weekend or next week. The problem with this last one is it dipped, corrected but continued to fall before it came up. If the next one does the same we will likely see more until the correction stays up. People are just not sure about putting back in yet.

Just wondering who's taking advantage of this little dip in the market to buy some stocks on sale?

I like cruise lines. Carnivals always a good company and the Oil companies are getting hit.
While I dabbled in the market in the 70s, since then I've only bought wmt stocks, silver, or crop land within 300 miles of my home. I have no complaints.

Crypto looks like a sales rack at a sporting goods store. Take 20% off what was marked down 40% last week.

Here’s my concern with crypto. The market is flooding with new coins, when will there be too many?

A crypto guy I follow has orders to by 200 BTC coins at each level at 17-18-19,000. He thinks it will dip there into the accumulation zone for a bit. No idea, but so far all supports have been broken. 29,000 held, after that not really any support levels to the 20k range

Honestly I’m a dumb redneck. Explain please or point me to where I can learn why crypto is worth anything. Just seems like there is no real product or backing other than the money people pay for it.

The advantage of a well designed crypto currency is that the supply of crypto is not controlled by any single political entity. There is no "printing" of currency so to speak. The algorithm controls the supply and the mining of crypto units requires real energy investment.

On the other hand, people have to believe that crypto has value that they can access and use in their real world affairs. If people don't believe others will accept a given crypto type X as a form of payment, then that type X crypto will have no value.

It's definitely worth studying the benefits of blockchain technology as the world is moving in that direction to create secure types of transaction relationships.

Thanks for posting the graphic. I'd buy on an 80% correction and would start tracking in the -40% range. My impression is dips are hard and fast.

That's true for any investment though. Crypto is subject to wild swings, but it's quickly becoming more of a mainstay investment avenue by the day.
