Moved all my investments to safe holding until after the election two days ago during that big hit. Glad I did as I'm thinking it will get pretty volatile

Just remember none of us can time the market exactly, so when moving it back in don’t just push your chips onto the craps table. Scale it back in at say 25%, 33% chunks.

We don’t need to hit the exact bottom, only get a better position than we would have had

I actually pushed a lot back in when it bottomed out the other day. I realize I will see some swings with everything going on but it was a great entry point considering where I pulled it out. I’ll ride it until the next stimulus jump and consider pulling out before we realize the damage that has actually been done to the economy.

Yes I think with the CV increases, shut downs, etc we are in for some more pain. The good news is if we have another big drop, we can run gangbusters again when it calms down.

Boeing has been getting hammered. Any guesses on how low it can go? Is it "too big to fail"?

Sold my DAL for a slight loss and my SAR for a good gain today. Hopefully I can get back in on the SAR when stuff settles out. Pretty much preserving my gains and looking to jump back in before the next Ex-Div date.

Coop, Thats exactly what I do but just during times of turmoil in the market or big events and I've done pretty good. I dont try to constantly time the market as thats a loosing game and I know it.

I had a great stroke of luck in 2008 when I had gone to a investment seminar and was trying to figure things out, market was volatile so I put all my 401 in cash while trying to come up with a strategy, While I was hem-hawing around the the bottom fell out and I waited till it hit bottom and started to climb....I doubled my money. But that was just "shet house luck"..

That’s what I did this time. I read up in what the market did during the last outbreak and it was a 15% drop, so in Jan I pulled mine for a 10% or so drop. It kept falling so I kept sitting on it. When it started hitting near highs again with election, CV19, economy not recovered I pulled again.

Still not sure how far this one will go, but I don’t need to know exactly, down 15%, add some back in, keeps dropping add some more.

Anyone have a clue what oil stocks will look like next week? Debating offloading my CDEV vs staying long.

I thought about it. I'm up $25K across my TDA in the last ten days. Glad I didn't!
Amer Funds (ANCFX) investment is up $8K too. Hard to figure out this market, but after (mostly) holding for 8 months through so much turbulence it seems to get easier.

Cdev will be Cdev, lol. I'm not worried about it, they are poised for whatever should come, huge (liberal -grrrrrr) tute ownership. I didn't know that when I bought this stock, had I known that liberal ****s owned it I probably wouldn't have put my money there.

Your results may vary, grin.

Anyone have any thoughts on BABA? Seems like a good time to jump in after the sell off this last week.
I've owned a significant position in BABA for the last 2 years, TCEHY too. I'm a LT hold.

They recently did something like $75Billion in online sales during their version of Amazon prime day- absolutely crushed it.

The problem is, the Chinese Communist gov thinks they are getting too big for their britches and is threatening to reign them in. They have already hammered the Ant IPO.

I'm looking for it to settle and then will buy more..... It might be better to buy the small up and comers like PDD up double digits 2 days in a row......
