Likely a bedding area they are using. They will often have a few bedding areas they use depending on weather, and pressure from hunters and predators. I’m no expert but two bucks of the bucks I’ve killed in the past ten years I have found the night or day before and killed them in the same spot or near by the same spot the next day.
