It wasn't long ago when Idaho had a Democrat as governor. Like I said don't think Idaho is immune.Oregon was a blue state by then, and Idaho today is nowhere near having a Democrat for governor, senator, or house representative.
I’ve always enjoyed my eastern OR elk and chuker hunts. Let eastern OR secede and join us in ID.
Honest question. Why would you live in a place, as a free man, where nearly everyone disagrees with you/and or doesn't share your values, thoughts and morals? It’s only a fiasco if it passes. Unfortunately, being in Oregon, I know a lot of Democrats. Not your antifa loving, rock throwing, trans in girl sports whackos. Just your everyday democrat whackos. The ones who vote D because they always voted D.
The ones I know fill roughly 5 categories.
Educators, medical professionals, dairy farmers, commercial fishermen and recreational fishing/hunters.
I only know or associate with people that hunt or fish. I should say, I only have a conversation with people besides “I’ll take cheese on that” or yes, bring me another beer type conversations.
I also have close to 1000 people a year on my boat to fish. You can get an idea from people by over hearing conversations or what they wear. We plugged full of Dems.
This isn’t a D or R issue. It’s a ballot measure where quite a few folks got lied to too sign.
With all that said, it’s shocking that 150,000 people signed this and my guesstimate is that this will be a 90/10 vote. 90% will vote no.
IF all the interested parties pull together and actually educate the sheep what this ballot measure really entails.
The fruits of voting "poorly". Good luck with that.Oregon will have a chance to vote on "No Hunting"!
It not only covers sport hunting, but raising (breeding) animals for food. Cows, pigs, chickens, etc, etc.....
IF the law passes, you won't even be able to kill rats, mice and other vermin!

Nearly everyone?? Not even close. My county is Red. Dems are the minority in my area. 43% of this state is Republican. I said I have conversations with Dems. Well, I didn’t say I hang out and have them over to grill steaks. These people (who are Dems) are boat owners in the marina who I see most mornings and afternoons on the dock. They won’t be voting yes on this. Super nice people, but….Honest question. Why would you live in a place, as a free man, where nearly everyone disagrees with you/and or doesn't share your values, thoughts and morals?
OR was still sane then. Odds are Boise is infected, then in a few years as Boise goes so goes ID. Sane Dems first then looney tunes takes over. ID’s growth rate is crazy, faster than OR ever was. May not take 10 years.Oregon was a blue state by then, and Idaho today is nowhere near having a Democrat for governor, senator, or house representative.
It is a misconception and many Oregonians do share the same conservative values and beliefs. Oregon reads like many other states. When you look at a map......it is all red except for Portland and a few other large cities.Honest question. Why would you live in a place, as a free man, where nearly everyone disagrees with you/and or doesn't share your values, thoughts and morals?
It helps when signature gatherers misrepresent the impacts. End animal cruelty, sure, where do I sign…Only takes about 3% of Oregon's population to have enough signatures to put something on the ballot. Just sad there are even that many people that are so far gone in this state.
What about in 15yrs, 25yrs, 40yrs??? We as a hunting/fishing collective aren't thinking that far down the road but animal rights activists certainly are! He even mentioned it in that YT interview. They don't expect to win in this election, but it helps set them up for future wins. They want to slowly swindle enough of the population where they'll eventually get hunting and fishing banned. Hopefully I'm long and dead before that happens.Oregon was a blue state by then, and Idaho today is nowhere near having a Democrat for governor, senator, or house representative.
I see. Oregon Coast is beautiful I have heard.Nearly everyone?? Not even close. My county is Red. Dems are the minority in my area. 43% of this state is Republican. I said I have conversations with Dems. Well, I didn’t say I hang out and have them over to grill steaks. These people (who are Dems) are boat owners in the marina who I see most mornings and afternoons on the dock. They won’t be voting yes on this. Super nice people, but….
I don’t live in Portland or Eugene.
The vast majority of the people moving to Idaho are farther right than the average longtime resident. On the state level Idaho has moved rightward in the last 10 years. The Boise mayor is not a precursor of what is to come for Idaho. Ada county still votes red, and Canyon county is heavily red.OR was still sane then. Odds are Boise is infected, then in a few years as Boise goes so goes ID. Sane Dems first then looney tunes takes over. ID’s growth rate is crazy, faster than OR ever was. May not take 10 years.
Just like the second amendment and illegal immigrant strategy. Liberals have been playing the long game. I hope you are right. My experience with a dominant urban area says look out, simply a matter of time. The vast majority of the people moving to Idaho are farther right than the average longtime resident. On the state level Idaho has moved rightward in the last 10 years. The Boise mayor is not a precursor of what is to come for Idaho. Ada county still votes red, and Canyon county is heavily red.
Today Idaho has unlimited wolf tags. In 2000 Oregon was almost a decade into a ban on hound hunting for cougar and bear.
What? OREGON is a free man?!! In America?!!....as a free man....
lol. You mean America in general. What? OREGON is a free man?!! In America?!!
Immune from the whims of the majority? The arbitrary governmental laws?
The confiscation of half the value of his voluntary trades with others?
How'd he swing that?
Color me jealous!!
Yep. these proposals are bought and paid for by shadow groups.Only takes about 3% of Oregon's population to have enough signatures to put something on the ballot. Just sad there are even that many people that are so far gone in this state.
Difference is the religious base in Idaho is much higher than Oregon. Also besides Boise, most people who are moving here are fleeing repressive politics. It’s funny the libs who transplant in generally end up leaving.OR was still sane then. Odds are Boise is infected, then in a few years as Boise goes so goes ID. Sane Dems first then looney tunes takes over. ID’s growth rate is crazy, faster than OR ever was. May not take 10 years.
Wishful thinking, but I hope you are right. I am a native Oregonian. I can’t stay here. House goes on the market next week and I am out. These wack jobs possess zero critical thinking skills and have room temperature IQ’s.The only silver lining is just maybe this measure will help the turn out of sane voters and give us a shot at our first non-Democrat governor in almost 40 years. Be nice to finally have some balance between the house, senate and governor political party wise.
