Here she is boys. Look at her in all her glory. I like the batwing setup vs the big bag for my style of packing. Now I can't get much meat out with camp but if I don't have 7 days worth of food I could! Love the way it rides and carries. And I'm pretty wide so she doesnt stick out much past my shoulders.

Yes. I'd much rather have my bow up with the cam protected than have it down. I've had to ride my ass down too many slopes to take the chance again!

That's a valid point. I may need to reconsider how I carry mine. I've always carried it low to protect it from low branches. Mine is a vector turbo which is long too.

As she sits she's 53.5 lbs loaded with bow and food and water. That is heavy for 7 days as I'm taking a stove with my tarp to dry out clothes and full rain gear because well be in the cascades.

53.5 isnt too bad. i just packed up 7 days in my t1 and im at 49 for everything. bow/food/water. i could cut a little here and there i bet but a 50# pack is pretty easy so whats the point

Exactly. What's 50 lbs to guys our size? Its like a fifth or sixth of our weight. I'd rather be comfy and dry than superlight and miserable. Haha

I'm loaded up with everything and 2 liters of water for 4 days and it came to 56 pounds all up. Granted we have a Bota box of wine in there (3 liters) as well. 60 or so pounds for 7+ days with everything is just fine in my book. I get the feeling some wouldn't even leave the truck to go hunting these days if their pack weighed that much but some how I will manage. Sheep hunt #2 of the season we leave for in less than an hour. Oh and Becca's pack was 32 pounds for this hunt. :)

Ditto. I laugh a little bit every time I see pictures in magazine ads where the backpacking hunter has his bow hanging down below the bottom of his pack. They are one slip away from ending their hunt prematurely.

ok, I'm gonna throw this out. You guys that are packing 50 -60#, whats your size, wt and ht, and age. I'm 54 and 5'8" 175#. 60# pack is not in my program, unless it is meat headed for the truck! So either you guys are extremely studly, or I'm a big pussy.

42 years old, 6' and 190 pounds. Keep in mind that this weight was EVERYTHING that I took for nine days except my pants, socks, boots, t-shirt and boonie hat.

I'm 44 years old, 6' tall and 190lbs. I pack in close to 10 miles with a 50-60# pack depending on how many days I plan on staying. It's tough, not gonna lie but I train pretty hard all summer to get ready for it.
