The Madison

We've watched a couple of episodes and have enjoyed it. Worst part for me was crashing that beautiful Cessna....lol. My dream plane. Definitely better than Marshalls. Agree that it is just a standard network cop show. I'll watch it, but definitely low on the list. My favorite TS movie is still Wind River....

Did not make it through the first 1/2 hr. Meh. Have to say the advertising made it look interesting, but alas.

This confirms I’m not going crazy. Marshals is some of the worst TV I have ever seen. Love pretty much everything else TS has done. Look forward to checking out Madison.

Second season of Landman got that way too. Pretty bad.
I still watch his stuff in hopes we get something new comparable to Wind River or the Secario movies.
Lioness isn’t awful but I’ve seen better team movement from guys getting off FTO and tactics aren’t realistic.

I spend a couple months in Montana fly fishing and while the fishing is excellent, and I say that only if you are an accomplished fly fisherman. The trout in the Madison, Missouri and Gallatin which are the main rivers I fish are not stocked trout and have seen every dry fly and nymph imaginable. That being said the rivers can be very crowded while if you are willing to walk a mile or have a drift boat you can usually get away from the crowd. Should be interesting this summer to see if this series (The Madison) brings a new influx of anglers.
I'm pretty tired of Taylor Sheridan at this point but will probably watch The Madison.
I live on the Bitterroot and made one trip last year to the Madison with my driftboat...Beat the shit out of it...There's a reason they call it 'a 70 mile riffle'.

I keep my drift boat in Ennis but have mostly used it in the Missouri from Holter Dam to Mid Canyon. Have on occasion floated from Varney Bridge to Ennis on the Madison where there the water is less challenging with few rocks.

Just what we need is two more shows from Paramount luring people to nirvana in Montana :(

Whoever is writing Marshals appears he's never talked to anyone who's actually worked for the Marshal's Service—extra, extra hokey!

I refused to watch Yellowstone out of principal, I'll double down on Madison, but will go out on a limb that in two years they'll come out with the Gallatin.
We got a half hour or so into the first Yellowstone and never watched another. Still haven't watched a Landman and will most likely not watch this either.

Agreed. I gave it another chance but from a guy who raises cattle, some of the ranchin scenes were laughable
It’s any show. Same as with any person with any oilfield experience seeing the atrocity that is Landman. A person just needs to swallow hard or turn it off. The “roughnecks” are pumpers that also work on work over rigs that also attend production meetings (3 different jobs just in the first 3 episodes I could tolerate)…...

Madison ain’t bad - it’s basically gotten my wife interested in moving out to BFE lol. The dialogue between Kurt and Michelle is literally like the checklist women go through. There’s no indoor plumbing -> it ain’t that bad…it’s in the middle of nowhere -> this is exactly where I need to be. I’ll give the show that 😄

Yellowstone was stupid, but entertaining. 1883 was really good, 1923 meh.

I think I’m over the Sheridan shows?

Wind River was his best work I’ve seen anyway.

I personally liked 1923 better than 1883.

Wind river was great, I think Hell or High Water was as good if not better
