I left Anchorage on Friday night, just missed the start. a Guy I know has a cabin that the race goes by (5 miles away). He was there Sunday to watch them go past. I did not know when I booked my flight that the race was starting on Saturday, otherwise I would have stayed an extra day. I would have loved to watch.

That's gotta be one of the best ways to enjoy the outdoors during the winter. I too just watched the 2008 documentary. Those mushers are tough!
