The Kifaru Tahr

There's several pics on this thread. I'm hoping to order mine soon. There's a nice deal in the classifieds on one also.

A lot of my "in action" pics have some pretty recognizable landmarks so if you want some other pics I'm sure I could take some, but they wont be from the field.

So for anyone out there who has owned both the Tahr and Solo, how do the two compare? Im speaking just bags, not frames or comfort.

Agree, bring on the access zipper.

I'd love a zipper in the pack too. It would be perfect. I'm thinking hard about getting one and having the modifications done myself. I understand that it takes away a little bit of the original intent of the pack, but I can choose to run a spotting scope pocket or not and use the zipper. I also thought about using the straps in the center to keep things together. I really like the mountain warrior, but is just a little bit too much pack than what I need. A Tahr sized mountain warrior would be sweet for me. Either that, or a Tahr sized 14r ;-)

Not the best pics in the world but what's available on my phone right now.

Run the bag lid straps up under the bag handle, thru the common loops, thru the ladder locks on the the lid, back down behind the bag strap and neatly tucked behind the shoulder straps.

Woods are quiet so I figured I would snap a few pics of the Tahr in action on a Midwest Whitetail Tree stand hunt.
