The Hunting Public Pig Broadhead Testing

It's a bunch of dudes talking and some black and white video of them running an arrow through a pig on a table. They also stabbed some potatoes, which I think troubled me more than the pig thing.

Probably a better look if they turned it the other way.

Instead of a cute little sleeping pig🤣

I also hadn't realized that shooting something in its bed is unethical. If I was able to stalk up on something bedded, I thought that was a different level of skill versus it being alerted and on its feet. But apparently that in some instances anyways is unethical.

Good thing there's no videos of Kosher slaughter.

Can't get any better data than using an actual animal for the testing. Lots of people shoot and dump feral hogs so this actually makes use of the animal more so than all of those. I think as a society part of our problem is the noodle spine worried about how things look to the genpop instead of actually normalizing hunting and desensitizing the genpop they're oversensitizing us. Too much pandering and asking for acceptance.

I enjoy their content but don’t think it’s a good look. I think respect is in order no matter the animal nuisance or not. They could have just talked about their findings.

Regarding Ashby, more important than using a heavy arrow was to use a long sharp 2 blade to get excellent penetration, and ime experience, it has served me very well, especially with a recurve.

Yeah splitting the potato did bother me too lol…at least you can still cook the potato.

In all seriousness it’s THP and they usually do things by the book. That’s why it’s black and white and they explained the legality of using a pig in the most recent video. It doesn’t disturb me at all and never thought about it being a problem until I read this thread actually. I think it’s a good test. I was very interested in that Magnus single bevel 4 blade…am less interested now although I am sure it’s a great head and more than enough for whitetail. I have never shot expandables and don’t plan to.
