The fire you've never heard about

I read about that a day or so ago. Made me think how big prairie fires must have been before suppression.
 
Range fires are no joke. The second time I was almost cooked, I had a minute to devise a plan to save my life and took my lighter out of my pocket and walk into some black.


I think we as humans are still not used to big range fires and for one sometimes I don’t get fighting them out in the desert or elsewhere where people don’t exist. Yeah, it’s tough seeing hundreds or sometimes thousands of dead cows, but some anti-fire ranchers partially contributed to the fires we are dealing with with fuel buildup.
