For centuries, people, including Christians, believed disease was caused by sin, demons, or divine punishment. But the truth was always that germs caused disease, even before germ theory existed. It took scientific evidence, not belief, to uncover that. Saying “Jesus is God whether there’s evidence or not” might express personal conviction, but it’s not how we establish truth in any meaningful way.
