The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom

We should be careful throwing judgement around when we do not know another believers heart. It’s Gods place to judge not ours. I don’t care what you call yourself, if you confess that Christ is Lord of your life and have turned from your sins and are following God the best you can, then God will be merciful. When I am reading scripture it always makes me reflect inward and how I can better myself to be more Christ like to everyone I meet. It’s Christ in us, that alone is what saves us. No man can come to the father but through Jesus Christ.

For it is impossible in the case of those who have once been enlightened and tasted the heavenly gift and shared in the holy Spirit
and tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come,

and then have fallen away,

to bring them to repentance again, since they are recrucifying the Son of God for themselves and holding him up to contempt.

Hebrews 6:4-6

“Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous; not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing. For “He who would love life And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do good; Let him seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.””

1 Peter 2:2-5, 9-12

Beloved:
Like newborn infants, long for pure spiritual milk
so that through it you may grow into salvation,
for you have tasted that the Lord is good.
Come to him, a living stone, rejected by human beings
but chosen and precious in the sight of God,
and, like living stones,
let yourselves be built into a spiritual house
to be a holy priesthood to offer spiritual sacrifices
acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood,
a holy nation, a people of his own,
so that you may announce the praises
of him
who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

Once you were no people
but now you are God’s people;
you had not received mercy
but now you have received mercy.

Beloved, I urge you as aliens and sojourners
to keep away from worldly desires that wage war against the soul.
Maintain good conduct among the Gentiles,
so that if they speak of you as evildoers,
they may observe your good works
and glorify God on the day of visitation.

What does this proverb mean when it states to not lean on one’s own understanding? I’m not poking the bear, we’re talking Theology and I’m asking for clarification.

Is it a case of having faith in your God’s omnipotence? A “trust his plan” when times are arduous kind of situation?
I've heard that it means to look to scripture and trust the word of God. So instead of using your own logic and values, read the Bible, pray and try to figure out what God would want you to do. How do your thoughts line up with scripture? Your thoughts and feelings change all the time, but the word of God is constant.
