I know some of you are itching to claim your pack is "the best". Particularly since I've established that Kifaru dominates the high end hunting pack market for reasons I won't get into here. I don't want to highjack my own thread.

So......here's your chance to convince me why or how or if it's even possible, that there is another pack worthy of consideration. So who are the best of the rest?

I missed the part where their dominance was established. We’re there sales numbers released that quantified the establishment? I’d be interested in checking out sales comparisons across the different manufacturers.

As far as convincing, I do not think I’m experienced enough with all the different packs out there. I do know that the Hill People Gear system works for me in terms of comfort, modularity and hauling ability.

Does Kifaru make a great pack? You bet your ass they do, but I really like my EXO as well. Having said that, if I had to get rid of one, the EXO would be shown the door. In the end, I think it's a lot like boots, trucks, etc., everyone is different and in the end, it depends on what fits you the best, your needs and your style of hunting.

You are probably going to get the same results here as the other thread, your mind is made up so why keep fishing?

I've tried two different Kifaru packs, a Seek Outside, an EXO, and a Stone Glacier. The SG is the only pack I have left of those. It and the SO were the only two that don't have a lumbar pad. (y)

Just get yourself a custom made McHale. Pick out every single feature you want and it'll be the best you can possibly afford and exactly what you want.

Chevy, Ford, Dodge.
Swaro, Zeiss, Leica.
Winchester, Remington, Ruger.

Everybody has an opinion and believes they are right. But in reality, these days they all work. It is up to the consumer to find the one that fits them the best whether it by comfort, financially, or work-ability. Nobody is right or wrong these days with what is available to the general public.

That includes hunting packs also.

I really like my Initial Ascent pack system! The carbon fiber composite frame weighs only 19oz and can withstand a significant amount of weight. They have one frame that supports 4 different bag sizes, Pannier Load Carrier w/Lid (900 ci), IA2K (2200 ci), IA4K (4000 ci), IA6K (6100 ci), and also offer a Decoy Hauler bag. Changing out the bags is super quick. One perk of the easy removal is being able to toss the bags in the washer after packing out meat. The way the bag fits makes heavy loads feel much lighter than other packs I’ve worn.

Nope, had a kifaru sold it, bought an Exo and haven't looked back. For me EXO dominates my market. lighter, more comfortable in day mode , and carries my loads as well as Kifaru.
Wow, your right it does feel good to get that off my chest.
