Ha, I saw he mentioned it is largely satirical. On a lot of these I agree, some of these dudes and lady dudes are just assholes.

I dig Joe Rogan, not sure he belongs on the list. And in the scheme of things he doesn't talk that much about bow hunting (he talks a lot so the things he likes come up a lot, but not a huge part of his podcast).

Steve Rinella, well if you hate him I don't' think you get him. If you find him annoying, I get that...I kinda like his personality.

John Dudley, how can anyone say bad things about him. He pushes a couple products and he's sponsored (I assume) by PSE now. But, huge huge huge majority of his content is brand neutral. I can probably name a dozen or more people who have essentially learned proper form from him (myself included).

Funny article, those are my 3 thoughts...the rest of those people I have no idea who they are.

Yeah, it's funny. Every hobby has it's celebrities. I just don't know who they are because I'm a die hard Nock on Nation supporter...all I have is neon green gear, and I have no idea who anyone else in the archery community is (just kidding, but seriously I am a bit of a John Dudley fanboy and I'm very comfortable with that).

I prefer luxuries as well at this point, that's why I have my base wall tent camp and also the "camp on my back" option. But that doesn't mean that I won't go 5 miles back on day hunts either, and then be back at the wall tent that night. I'm normally prepared for most every option I might want to do in a season......in order to cover as much ground as possible.

it is not so easy...
...morons like Bowmar putting all his shit out in public do a great damage to the whole bow hunting community - and suddenly you have to explain to organization that want to ban bow hunting that only idiots fling arrows at an animal at 118 yds walking away from you and calling it double-lunged when the arrow sticks in the neck. And then these organizations point out that this guy has 200,000 followers who love this kind of stuff so it is obviously not a single case ....
Hopefully you won't have to find out whether it is indeed "so easy to not walk around pissed off" when they take bow hunting from you because of those morons....

I live in the same area as the Bowmars and I've met Josh twice holding court in the local Scheels archery section. You're spot on, you'd absolutely know who he was wether you wanted too or not.

what really worries me is not that he is so full of it - there will be always some idiots (who would brag here about an 118 yd shot - at the moment he took the shot he actually didn't know the correct distance - on an animal that is clearly walking away, hits it accidentally in the neck, calls it a double lung shot and - because you wouldn't believe that someone is so stupid - publish the whole shit show on YouTube?), what worries me is that someone like him has over 200,000 fanboys who cheer those "achievements"....hm, maybe there is something dodgy going on with his nose buttons and with every "prick" of the button it releases some brain clouding chemical?
