1 MOA for 10 out of a 22CM isn’t terrible. I’m not sure what you’re used to shooting or expecting to shoot day in and day out though.

It’s random for sure. I’d like under moa for 10 and I’ll be happy. But I’d also like 3200ish. I need to go back thru what I have and see if I can figure out the charge of the last groups I showed. I’m thinking my barrel has sped up and that’s not helped me out

I think my biggest complaint at this point is the wild ES and sd I’m getting. Would like to take it to 600 but I just don’t trust it.

How wild?

600 is nothing. You can have 100 ES and still shoot plenty well at 600 yards. I shot a 1/4 MOA 5 shot group with a 60ES at 600.

I feel like your wants, in comparison with the 22CM cartridge itself, might not be the best fit. Or you might have to re-evaluate them slightly. If you've done all this group shooting at 100 with tons of 1 MOA decent sample sized groups and haven't even taken it to distance, I think you're off track personally. You're trying to create a unicorn load, to meet an essentially very easy goal. Small groups and slower speeds, or fast speeds and slightly larger groups will both still hammer at 600 yards. Just shoot it IMO

I think you will surprise yourself at how little the numbers matter at that distance.

Yeah dude that’s freaking excellent for a 22CM. Absolutely take that out to 600 yards and I’m sure you’ll be pleased

That group is plenty good. Roll on with confidence!

I’m consistently surprised by how well loads that are “ho-hum” or even bordering on crappy at 100 on paper, end up shooting at 500 and beyond. Could be a lot of mental in there, I know I seem to shoot steel a little better than 100 yard paper.

For example, my brother has an old 270 in a Stockys that I bedded in for him, that he hasn’t shot much in years. He tried some factory 145 ELDX yesterday and they shot about 2” at 100…. Took it to 600 and they were way sub MOA for vertical, which is the only metric I give a shit about at that range in a stiff wind.

Funny stuff.

I shot a .7 10 shot at 100 yards with my 6 CM and 109 LRHT’s. Figured that was good enough at 100.

Took it to 610 yards and shot a 10 shot .6 at 6X the distance lol.

I know exactly what you’re talking about for sure.
