Nice -- aggregate those and you seem to have a pretty nice ~1 MOA.
Over nearly 1.5 grains as well. Makes me think to just start throwing powder charges

I used to throw everything with a Neil Jones and no weighing other than initially checking the charge when setting up for a batch. Worked well. I should try a blind test with a bunch of thrown charges vs the A4 auto someday with a field gun. Even though I don’t think I’d like it, it’d most likely be perfectly fineOver nearly 1.5 grains as well. Makes me think to just start throwing powder charges

Maybe, or look closer at the vertical dispersion and have a little think about what is going on here.Nice -- aggregate those and you seem to have a pretty nice ~1 MOA.
Damn I had no idea they quit making them.No factory 88’s at this time from Hornady in 22CM. I have a .120FB and they fly great.
I've never seen a Hornady factory available offering with the 88 ELDM.Damn I had no idea they quit making them.

Yep, I shoot it in a couple of my 22 ARC rifles. It seems like the 88's like a little slower velocity than your going to see from the 22CM. My 22" Howa Mini Action spits one lot at 2698 fps and another lot at 2792 fps with both lots around 1 MOA. From my 16" Ruger American the slower lot of 88's is 2442 fps. That ammo has proven pretty accurate as seen with this 5 shot group made when doing the initial sight in and ammo testing.Oddly enough they have it in 22 arc but not 22 CM

I shoot those 88's in my 18" 1-7 Kimber 223 around 2550. Accuracy and bullet performance is good at that velocity for me. Will try them faster when my 22cm gets finished. I never tried them in 22-250AI because the barrel was going. I haven't tried them in 223AI because it's a 8 twist but I might.Yep, I shoot it in a couple of my 22 ARC rifles. Wind at the range was chilly, so didn't get all the shooting done that I was hoping to, but I tried out the 88 ELDM in my 20" 1:8 Proof. RL-23 and the 88s have worked well in my 1:8 X Cal and 1:7.5 Bartlein, so I went with nearly the same load. I loaded up to 42 grains to check for pressure and everything seemed good to go, so will have to try some groups at a slightly higher charge. 42 gr gave 3200 fps.
1x Fired Peterson Brass
Fed 210s
88 ELDM
RL-23 (39.9 - 41.1 grains)
Overall, pretty happy with them. 5 shot groups, 1” squares.

I've reconnected with my Sig Cross lately....![]()
NThe daughter's new barrel came. Preferred did a great job. It's a lot lighter than the factory Sig Cross pipe and lighter than the current PVA 22 Creed pipe I've been using. Still have a lot of life left in that PVA but I'm excited to give this a try later this year.![]()
