On game? 525 on a Moose with the 6 and 585 on a Sheep with the 22. Lots of dead rocks out to 1300.

Peer Pressure @Ryan AveryWith those ranges why are you looking at building a 6UM?
As long as there is dirt or rock around, yeah I am. I don't seem to have a harder time spotting splash between the 80 grain range and the 112's. Maybe if you were comparing side by side. I would say that the reduced recoil makes it more likely to spot the impact. This is in light-ish guns where a 25% increase in recoil is actually going to make a difference. Put it this way, It wouldnt be for lack of splash that I went back to 6mm.Are you getting the bullet splash you want w the .22?
Good to know on the Grand powder, I have a good bit and have yet to find a bullet it likes.
For me, it is a little harder to see the splash compared to my 6CM.Are you getting the bullet splash you want w the .22?

Update: backed down to 44.8g of Ramshot Grand & the 88’s to eliminate all bolt lift.
2967 fps and shot 1 MOA.

Shooting steel out past 600, even smaller plates I don’t get the gratifying report w the 22. It’s all about the whallop.
TBD. I'd stick with 22 if I can get the 88's to work consistently for me. However with a UM build this winter on the books, I'll have to decide for sure at some point. 22 CM, 6 CM, 6 UM..
It'll be a 7 lb gun, scoped and suppressed. (Raven, Rokstok Lite) At that weight, the 22 CM will recoil 11 ft lbs and the 6 CM with 112's will recoil 27% more at 14 ft lbs. Do I really need a 6 UM when the 22 Creed gets me to 900 yards and is a 8 mph gun?
Man those 69gr eldvt seem like the ticket.Ruger American with Odin Works 1in8 twist barrel. 69 ELDVT .030 off lands. 38.8 Varget Alpha SRP Brass CCI 450s. Did have 70 RDFs loaded up they were tighter yet. Honestly if I wasnt rushing this would have been better. I run 39.2 with 75 ELDMs so got more loaded up with that charge. These were in Virgin brass so I had them backed off a bit. I figure be around 3600fps from what I seen testing the RDFs.
I was impressed I knew that gun liked .030 of lands so I just pulled the RDFs an loaded those. I'd like to see what the RDFs do on a coyote. I know the 100gr ELDVTs out of the 6.5 PRac are straight up nasty an shoot just as good. I just loaded some 174s up in my 300 PRC cant help myself lolMan those 69gr eldvt seem like the ticket.
Have you tried the factory loaded to compare?
Yes I’ve posted several kills on here from my 6.5prc and the 100gr eldvt. They are nasty. Everything I have shot has dropped quick.I was impressed I knew that gun liked .030 of lands so I just pulled the RDFs a loaded those. I'd like to see what the RDFs do on a coyote.
