The 22 creedmoor thread

Show me any factory box of ammo that has the velocity window of the bullet on it.

They make the new edl-vt and the 80+gr bullets than need a 7 twist. How is that not specifically for the "super" 22
An 88 out of a 22 creed isn't even crazy fast.
Hornady does not recommend a 7 twist on their 62& 69 VLD VT bullets. I just checked their site. They have no recommendation at all.

So you think because a recommended twist is not listed, that you can't shoot it in a 7? I mean that's possible, but with no evidence in either direction, that's not a conclusion I'd make.
Hornady is loading it themselves in the 22 creed and call for an 8 twist as a minimum. Bullet twist needed is largely independent of the brass it's fired from. So I think you can take the 22 creed loaded ammo and use that.

Got a 1-7.7 twist 224 Bartlein barrel on the way… it’s replacing a 1-12 twist 22-250 on a R700. Will be for deer, etc. I’ve got 22-250 Lapua brass and dies. Is it worth the cost to bump up to 22 Creed or stick with 22-250 and save a few hundred bucks?
Lot of talk of rechambering the tikka 22-250 to 22 cm. Anyone running it as a 22-250?

Yes. No issues. Used 75 eldm last year on 10 deer and loved it. This year trying 77 tmk and I expect I’ll go back as damage might be more meat loss than needed. 88’s didn’t shoot as well for me on paper and I never shot any animals with them.

Thanks! What is your barrel length and velo?
