I'm honestly amazed that it isn't much higher in the Gallatin Range. I have more snow at my house in trend-tastic, flat brimmed hat, trust fund bro Bozeangeles than I have ever had, by a long shot. Hope the runoff happens over a long period!

We are working our way up to normal. About chest deep on a horse.

And more on the way tonight. I think we have more snow now than we did this time of year in 2023.

25 years in my current house, 40+ in Bozeman total. When I lived in town, snow was way deeper than in the valley, just comparing snow depths at my current location over that time

I feel like 2014 outpaced this by quite a bit. It snowed almost every single day in February that year.

We got about 30 inches in the San Juans over the weekend. -still below average, but better off than we were.

22 and 23 were the least I have seen while 20 and 21 were the heaviest I have experienced. I'm pushing 40 years here but the nursing home locals told me the late 30s and 40s challenged the country folks. The fences completely disappeared and many of the state trucks had snow blowers for many years. It's just cycles.

Good point, 2014 was a doozy. Lots of local differences in snow depth across the valley, just the way it is in my location and could be different elsewhere. Our plow dude is having a hard time finding places to push the snow on our roads.

In fact....this is the first time in our neighborhood that we're all looking at our roofs going "huh....wonder what the snow load factor is..." and some of us dragging snow off our roofs.

But 2014 was crazy heavy snow.

It was! plus '89-ish with lots of broken pipes in Roberts Hall and others at MSU, almost froze my....my...'parts' off walking home.

I still say our winters aren't as bad as upper mid west, wicked heavy snow, humid, cloudy, blick

We are starting to look a lot better. Local ski resort is claiming a current depth of 76 inches and a season total of 162 inches.

Got about 4-5 more down in the valley last night, and have gotten ~10 inches before that. Went from seeing grass to ~12 inches in a couple weeks.
