Thank you Form I’m now a mk12 believer

I'm torn between building a 6 ARC in a MK12 format or just picking up a Seekins DMR.

Does anyone here actually have one of the Brouwer built uppers?

I have used quite a few rifles put together by Brouwer. They are excellent. Seekins isn’t remotely in the running.

I am really tempted to pick up the Brouwer but just wish there were more suppressor options. Last I spoke with Unknown, they put the mk12 can on hold...maybe Brouwer would build a simple threaded option for an OG? The other options seem to be the 6.5 LMTs and the GFRs...and I don't think an OG 6S/6.5S will fit under either one of those handguards...

I bet you could ask them and they would leave the brake and collar off.

OCM5 is so cool though. I wish all bolt action .223's and 6mms were 16" and profiled for the AE brake and collar.

It is cool, but can you get them right now? I think an OCM6 is coming out this fall? Anyone have details? I think Allen will bore out the AEM5 to 6 if you special order. FOR has one that fits the AE setup, but have heard it's not great.

Not sure. I was able to find an OCM5 in stock last year locally and an AEM5 was supposedly a ~ 4 week lead time. I didnt ask about an AEM5-30 or OCM6.

At least with the OCM5 though the hype is real. No zero shift as far as I can tell, really quiet, excellent accuracy.

I think the two point mounting system makes a ton of sense and I wish more suppressors mounted that way. It makes a lot more sense than cantilever mounting, especially with a 15+ oz can.

Looks like the aem5-30 is in stock at a few places, is there any disadvantages to it vs the 6mm variant?
