Moderator contacted me, did some digging/searching and quickly found an old post I made from 2018 that I had put my phone number on.
Moderator deleted it and contacted me.
I was very impressed and thankful to our mods

I just got the same style of message on an item. I sent the poster my phone number though. I will report the ad.

Every single time I've ever posted something for sale on Armslist or Craigslist I get a text almost immediately, and I always spell my number out. It's as if it's programmed into the sites to trigger it as soon as a post is made. And they're always the same kind of story about wanting to send a cashiers check and someone they know will pick it up, etc, etc......every single time. I block the number, delete it, and ignore it.

I got my first ever txt scam from a post I made about buying some 280ai brass. The sentences were not worded or structured quite right but was concerning they linked my number to a post and had most of the stuff correct. the number was 351 223 3248

Can you imagine the little rush - it’s must be like setting up a decoy, making human calling noises, getting the person to salivate thinking it’s a good deal, you bite the hook and whamo, get shot and they take your money. I’m sure it’s as much of a rush as hitting a big coyote way out there. lol
