Anybody have any experience with these? I am looking for an upgrade from my older hawk helium sticks the Tethrd Skeletors look good for the price

No personal experience, BUT I’ve seen numerous threads on Archery Talk and the Saddle Hunter forum with bent brackets/steps.

I’d do some research before I made the purchase.

Im looking to do the same thing, really like the design features of the skeletors. unfortunately getting anything good in Canada is an expensive endeavor

I’d wait till they update the standoffs. The new ones will be beefier and beveled.

I recently bought a set from my local outdoor shop. I opened the box and found loose hardware, rounded off nuts, double stacked washers, etc. it’s unfortunate because it looks like a great product.

After a little digging, it seems the first generation comes with standoffs that are notorious for bending and bolts that were a quarter inch too short. Apparently Tethrd sent replacement bolts out to a handful of customers and they’ll upgrade your standoffs if you call and ask, but how am I supposed to know that before climbing a tree with these?

I’m fairly confident the set I bought would have failed, had I used them. Tethrd offered to swap for a new set but I chose to return them to my local dealer and alert them to the issue because I’ll be using a different product.

after all of the troubles they had with the first generation, I would stay away. Now, what do you know, Tethrd just recalled all of the Gen 2 ‘ONE’ sticks as well.

yeah kind of come with the territory in ultra light weight climbing sticks... sent mine in and they told me i was looking at a 3/4 week turn around.. dont need them during that time so no harm on my end... still a hassle though but they made it very simple and quick to send them in..

If your going to buy "good" sticks buy them once. i have a set of the double steps from lone wolf custom gear. i looked really hard at the timber ninjas as well, as they are built 15 minutes from my house, they just werent as packable as the lone wolfs.

I bought some Novix Mini sticks this year and used them last night for my first hunt of the year. They worked great
