Test for boot waterproof ness?

Has anyone ever seen a test done on top boots like Kennetrek, Lowa, Meindl, Hanwag, etc. for their ability to stay waterproof? There has to be some way to measure this and I can't be the only one to think it up. I know they all break down and leak eventually, but it would be interesting to see which stay dry the longest.

I fill mine with water after every hunt, provided they didn't fill up on their own when using them.

My hunting partner did his own test a couple years ago. Take new boots, lace them up around a 15lb weight and then put them in the tub filled with water overnight. I know Kennetrek and Meindle both went back, wet on the inside. Kennetrek was wet within a couple hours. Asolo were completely dry in the am.
