Tent repair

Some ripped his coleman tent that he just bought. What is a good way to repair it?

Gear Aid Tenacious Tape Repair Tape , or chinook tent repair tape. The chinook comes in diffrent colors , Holds really well.

Sew it yourself or find someone to do it for you. Pick up a piece of similar nylon/silnylon material at a fabric store. Sew the patch over the tear and then apply silicone to both the inside and outside of the patch job.

Most tents also usually come with a small piece of fabric for making repairs if you still have it. Otherwise just hit it with some tenacious tape. If it's an area under load I'd probably put some on both sides. Worked great on a tear in my eVent compression sack.

You can use Gear Aid Tenacious Tape. Nylon for nylon tents, taffeta for canvas tents. Color is available.
