Tent pole replacement w/aluminium

I have a really nice Kelty tent that I would like to replace the glass poles with aluminum.
Has anyone done this?
Is it worth it?
What should I be worried about in doing it?
Any sources out there?

Ive used tent pole tech. They are top notch guys. I think one thing that people overlook is the flexibility of the glass poles. You will need to have the curve measured on the assembled tent. They have the data on the aluminum poles in regard to how much they flex. You may have to have a couple sections pre-bent to make it work.
