I think if I remember right...I decided to go with horizontal seams because I could have less waste material and save money. I don't think I would change much about the way I did the seams. Vertical seams might tighten it up some but I haven't had much of a problem with too much sag. What do you think realunlucky? You have used yours a bit now haven't you? How are you liking it?

So I am finally thinking of doing a project and throwing around ideas. So for the zipper what type and size did you use and where did you buy it? That's the one thing I have not found any info on. Awesome tent by the way!

He used a weather proof zipper. You can find them at sailright. I used a standard coil zipper without issue. It'll let some very little water in but has not gotten anything wet. I keep the doorway clear of gear for ease of entering and exiting
