Does anyone know roughly when to expect TWRA to announce the 2024 season dates?

I'm on loan to TVA down in the NC/GA/TN corner and every truck around has a dog box in it. Bears are really popular here.

I’m in E TN, about 30 minutes from both NC and VA. Wrench is correct, there are very few of us who try it without dogs. Very challenging hunt, but it can be done. Snakeman —I don’t think they update the seasons until June or July.

I know my son and I already have been issued our 2024 Sportsman license...our license now go from date of purchase to the next year, same date. Dont know if this applies to out of state?

Bear season is only open for myself during bow season for deer. I’m on the western edge of any bear hunting in the state.

If you are going without dogs, my suggestion would be early season. Both deer and bears start to get scarce once the dogs start running them.

Whereabouts? I've got friends who work for TVA there. That's where I grew up.

I'm in visiting right now and was up on the Hiwassee just a few days ago lol. I grew up in Ocoee. Friend I grew up with works up at the Ocoee powerhouse above Parksville now.

IF ya want to fast forward, go all the way to about -4:00 minute mark, they start with Bear seasons...Good luck!
