TCR22 FTF or Something else

Up North (Michigan) shooting a nee plinker, the TCR22 for the first time. Gun is brand new. Have about 150 rounds through it today shooting cheap Winchester and Federal ammo. Using Ruger BX25 mags and 10 round mags. I would say on average I had 1 FTF every 30-40 rounds. Interesting thing is my buddy (who is with me) is shooting his brand new Ruger 10/22 and had 0 FTF with the same ammo. He was also using his own BX25 mags and 10 shot ruger mags. Should I send the gun in for a looksie?

When you have a FTF what happened? No firing pin fall, or it fell with a light strike?

My guess would be that it needs to be stripped and cleaned. There is probably a bit of dirt/machining chip from the factory that is showing up every once in a while.

A call to TC would be worth it to see what they say.
