I did once, 25-06 in a contest. Called in 4 dogs, got excited and missed the first shot...well turned out to be the only shot. Sold the gun I was so pissed and bought a bolt gun. To this day I regret selling that gun, IMO not built for calling predators but a hell of a good gun for other things!

Years ago I traded an Ithaca mag 10 for a tc stainless encore 25-06 1year later sold it I also regretted it.

I’ve got a heavy 22-250 barrel that does a decent job, haven’t used it much in the past few years but it was hell on whistle pigs in my teenage years.
