Tattered Velvet on a mount...

Saw this Photo in another thread and I was curious how the velvet was handled in this case or others like it...This is past the formaldehyde stage, but still an integral part of the look...

Most velvet mounts are freeze dried. They can freeze dry it with the tattered shreds hanging and airbrush in the bloody look as finishing touches. Looks great this way ill see if I can find pics.

This is a whitetail I had done in 2010, this angle doesn't show the torn velvet very well. Next time in Kentucky ill try to get some better pics
