Target Panic...Extreme. Literally ruining my life lol

@fatlander
I probably missed it, but what hinge(s) do you like for hunting? I just got a shot trainer and have a Tru-Ball Ultra Sweet Spot II. I have a new bow ordered and dont intend to put a sight on until I work through some of what was recommended above.

I don’t think the particular hinge really matters.

I’ve hunted with a medley of different scotts, b3s, and UVs. Every hinge I’ve purchased has been because the price was right. If I was paying retail for a hinge, it’d be something built by truball. With that said, I’ve killed a lot of stuff with my UVs with no complaints over multiple years hunting. Had some issues with the pins that hold the heads on scotts rusting up and seizing. Happened on two ascents and two long horn micros. Scott was less than helpful.

My hunting hinge is set very hot, no click. Works for me, not sure what’ll work for you.

While relearning my shot process, I set the release really cold with a click. The click helps you with hand position when you’re first starting out. Get to the click, then execute your shot. As you get more comfortable, I’ve found the click unnecessary.

Have y'all never tried a benzo and six pack?
Only slightly joking. I've seen it break at least 50% of target panic sufferers permanently. 80% for the session

Buy this, buy that. I have done it all. Hinges, Tension, buttons, weights and everything in between. Spend the same or less money and address yourself. Find a Shot IQ clinic and get there. You will have real long term success if you work on yourself.

When I started fighting target panic with the hinge, the click sent my brain into orbit. I set it cold with no click until I got myself used to it then reset it and learned to work the click into my process.

It's not necessary but I like it
