Tangent theta 3-15x50 LRH

Anyone have one or used one? Is it the best scope available under 30 ounces?

I was almost set on the nx8 4-32x50 f1 moa but the TT hunter moa looks like its better in every way. And yeah I know its almost double the price but money isn't a concern on this purchase. Weight, features, and clarity are.

Also has anyone seen any deals going for these scopes?

Sample of two here. Very pleased with mine. They’ve been dragged and dropped on Wyoming mountainsides and have not lost zero or shifted.

I loved everything about them except for the florescent warning sticker that said do not torque ring caps above 15in lb. Pretty good odds they have issues with ring compression.

I have had one for a couple years now and like the optic alot. It has a usable reticle at all magnification levels, tracks well, and has held zero for me. There are a few things that I wish they had done differently.

I wish the elevation and windage was readable when "locked" and the revolution indicator was readable or tactile from behind the gun.

I would personally like a floating center dot in the reticle. I think that that could easily be done with this reticle and it still be very usable at all magnification levels.

While I like the scope alot I'm not sure if it is 2x the scope the 4-16x42 ATACR is, considering the price difference between the two scopes. I recently acquired one with the MIL-r reticle and have been pretty pleased with it. Although the NF zero lock did twist around on me during a match which was exceedingly irritating.

ETA: as far as deals go give @gr8fuldoug a call. I bought mine from him and I doubt anyone can give you a better price and I know there isn't a retailer who is better to deal with.

I've used the mil version a couple of years now and like it. For mixed terrain hunting (low light thick woods with broken backgrounds to open ag fields) the reticle is probably my favorite one made for hunting. It is fairly thick so it can cover a good bit of target but I like that for hunting....I prefer thinner for targets only. I agree with pyrotechnic that a floating center dot would be nice with only it being illuminated. Mine has dialed correctly and has been repeatable. That said, it's on a heavier rifle that rarely goes up the mountains with me and hasn't taken a beating, mainly it's used on short walks to ag fields. ...so I can't speak to toughness with it.
