Anybody have any recommendations for a cheap, standing height tripod? I have a Benro carbon fiber that works great for 90% of my glassing but am wanting something for hunting the late season in the desert where I will need to stand to glass. I have found a couple cheapos on amazon that might work but wanting you guys opinion. Weight isn't a huge issue as it will be used close to the pickup.

Call me. We sell hundreds of tripods to members of Rokslide. Always give the best advise and price we can
I am here today until 6:00, tomorrow from 9-6 as well

I bought a Vanguard tripod a few years ago at Sportsmans for under $100. Depending on your optics mount and/or terrain it's works great standing. I'm 5'10" and for binoculars I wish it was maybe an inch or two taller, but I've made it work using terrain to my advantage. With an angled spotter it would be about perfect.

There is a sirui with vanguard pan head for sale here in classifieds. Can’t recall model, but well respected. All together it’s 2.5 lbs and goes from 9” to standing height.

Best bet would be the Promaster SP528. It goes 80 5/8" high, comes with a head that will hold up to 26Lbs. Normally we sell this for $259.99. Members of Rokslide pay $219.99. It has a 1 year no fault warranty that we extend to a lifetime warranty.
This is the aluminum versions. There is a carbon fiber version, normally $359.99, your cost $309.99

Feel free to contact me with any questions

I know this is an old thread.

Did you find a tripod that worked for you? I’m also 6’3 and looking for a tripod I can easily glass standing up.

Field optics research ProMax carbon. Doesn't break the bank and has been rock solid for me for 2 years now.

Found these a long time back for something taller for a standing straight scope. Liked them soo much i purchased two. They hold my 65mm scopes great even at full length.

nootle panhead and pro tripod. I actually prefer their panhead over most highly rated heads you read about here. (like the promaster)

Sweet. Going to check it out. Thank you for the link. By neck adjustment, are you referring to the center post?
