I run both. The Spartan has a little better quality pic and video but the video is late a lot of the time. A buck will be center frame in the picture, but the video starts with half of him out of frame.
Would you mind sharing details of your setup and the specific parts? Sounds like a great way to goI run only Tactacams. I buy a $20 12volt 7ah battery, a $10 10 ft power cord, and small 30 cal. ammo can. My batteries never go below 100% all season long and the AA in the camera have been good for 3 years now.
I ordered everything right off Amazon. I use the Mighty Max 12 volt 7.2 AH battery and a 30mm plastic ammo can. Whatever camera you decide to use, just search for a 12 volt power cord. The connectors are different between some of the cameras, so just make sure you select the correct one to go with your camera. There are a ton of options on Amazon and they're a lot cheaper than ordering them through camera manufacturer. I prefer to use the 10ft cords so I can get my camera up a little higher and then wrap the cord tight around the tree to help make it less obvious and to prevent animals getting snagged on it and unplugging the power cord from the camera.Would you mind sharing details of your setup and the specific parts?
