Looking to go to the Colorado TAC but am fairly new to archery. Is this something that I need to maybe push until next year when I can confidently shoot at long ranges or would it be a good opportunity learn more about archery and still shoot at shorter distances? I would like to set some goals for myself to be confident showing up but uncertain what that should be. Any advice appreciated.

Thanks!

Go for it. It's not a competition, just go shoot at whatever distances you're comfortable with and have fun. Take some cheap burner arrows if you're worried about breaking/losing them.

Go and send it man! You'll figure out what you need to do and people will help. You can walk up on targets if needed

I have also been wanting to go to one. I was confused on if a guy could shoot more than one course in a day because when I was looking at the registration it required you to select a single course per day.

In my experience, they open up all the courses after a certain time every day, which gives you the opportunity to shoot multiple courses if you want to.

TAC is a 3D shoot on steroids. Just do it.

The difference between shooting targets own your backyard and a 3D event is huge. Up/Down shots on uneven ground is a great learning experience replicating the real thing. It teaches you to have a shot sequence or Shot Mantra.

Tip? Give a quick check of your level FD and Learn to pick a tiny spot on the animal.
