Got one inbound, will be my first Tikka. The 6.5 CM with 20" barrel was $950 for the ember model so that's what I went with. Gonna see if I can find a DT hub adapter in m15x1 for my Nomad XC so I can sans the 5/8 adapter and save weight/length.


Did you go with the Tikka dovetail rings or something else? I'm having a major brain conniption over the dovetail but it seems that's the way to go if I'm not planning to swap scopes around (which I might).

I have the same one on the way. I won't get hands on it for a couple weeks due to dumb WA state laws.

The only HUB -> M15x1 adapter I could find was a steel version from Ecco. I haven't jumped on one...not yet sure if I will do that, use the included adapter, or go Area 419 for use with my DD S-Ti.

Yeah I was just poking around and saw that Area419 has an m15x1 universal hellfire adapter, so thinking I may go that route. Then I can just get adapters for other rifles and quickly switch out the Nomad XC on them. I'd rather have a titanium DT but if that's not available it's not a terrible compromise. I'm gonna do something though, just feel dirty using the adapter even though I know it'll be fine. Added weight and length for nothing drives me futs.

I used the Talley Xtra Low. I don't remember the thought process that went into choosing them, which means there might not have been much

Mine arrived with a thread protector for the 15x1 threads on the muzzle and then also the 15x1 to 5/8x24 adapter without a thread protector for 5/8x24. I hope that makes sense. What is the barrel profile on the superlite roughtech like? Is it the same profile as regular T3x lite or larger profile?
