I have a couple Tikka rifles, and will probably order another soon. Depends on a few things. I am considering ordering an aftermarket stock, possibly two, that I would fit whichever T3 I am using for the trip/season. One of the stocks I have considered is the MDT HNT 26, the other would be a stock from AG. Is it a crazy idea or could it work well? Let's say I have a 300wsm, 7-08 and possibly a .223, all T3. I could put the 300wsm in the MDT confirm zero and be good to go? Then later in the season when I am after deer, put the 7-08 in, confirm zero and be good to go?

Let me know your thoughts,

Yes, it works. I only have on Tikka stock at the moment and swap it between two BAs. The one it was bedded for fits more snugly, but neither has any issue holding zero.
Personally, I'd forget the HNT26 and buy multiple Rokstocks. Swapping parts can get you by, but range sessions are much more productive when there's no time wasted swapping components around.

Sounds similar to other modular ideas that have come along. T/C Dimension, Sig P320, Seekins.

great theory, probably not actually that great(or at least not as great as you originally thought) in reality.

I guess I just thought if you can drop a T3 into any of those factory stocks and get good results it should be just as good with the higher quality stocks.

Why should he forget the HNT26? Rokstock and HNT26 are two completely different style of stocks. You cant fold a Rokstok in half.

This could and should work. I might actually be part of a small video series on YouTube where I swap my Tikka between 2 different stocks. A KRG Bravo for hunting season and a KRG X Ray for shooting matches. We will shoot groups, swap stocks and document POI changes.
