Synthetic Insulated Vest?

Agreed, it’s always in my kit. During cold sits I layer it under my uncompahgre or under my LPP. I also wear it when I’m moving if it’s too cold for just a base layer and a fleece

I wear my vest just as much as an outer as an inner insulation layer. Most vests seem to have everything except are made of outer material that is noisy and may not hold up to brush. I recently bought a Sitka Fanatic vest that has a polarfleece outer that is super quiet and rugged when hunting brush. It also has a little more insulation than most vests. The Fanatic has a large pouch for warming hands plus an enclosed pouch to store small gear and items that I use on a regular basis while hunting.

My goal is to use it under my LLP for cold glassing sits in November/December.

Why not get Nunatak to just make you one of their Skaha pullover jackets with a custom setup of Apex, then you only gotta carry one thing. That's another option, unless you want to wear the vest separate from the jacket at times.

Kelvin lite and Acteryx atom lt are basically the same thing, but I use the Arcteryx.

Do you have the atom lt vest? How do you like it for active hunting with a pack on?

I've had the Kryptek Kratos Minus II the last few years and it's great.

I like it just fine. It doesn't bunch up, its outer material is durable, and it dries quickly if you sweat under the pack.

I have been running a Sitka Dakota vest and love the wind stopper material and it is the one piece along with the grinder pants that I reach for every time I head out to hunt. I haven’t used the others that were mentioned previously so I cannot compare but I would definitely recommend the Dakota vest.
