The 42mm is a good fit on the 3-9 zoom ring.
Put this on, works great. Thanks again for the recommendation.

Cheap and easy hack I found from another thread on here discussing the same thing. No idea why they are called coasters.

Screw them down, snip the tails, and never slip/move. Can be removed quickly/easily by unscrewing. Ergos are similar to the aadland for 1/6 the price.

If you don’t mind me asking, did you get the Standard or Notched version?
I got the standard one, this one fit perfectly.

I also tried this one in 42mm and had to do some filing to get it to work.

They come with rubber gaskets to fit over on the scope, which I decided not to use, so maybe I wouldn’t have had to file the second one down to make it fit tight.

The "breakaway nylon coaster" throw lever has been working well for me on my SWFA 3-9x. Not sure why they are called that either, but it's imported from England so maybe it means something different over there. The price is right and they are very functional.

I pretty much leave my 3-9 set at 6x and don’t bother with a throw lever. I My 6x MQ has no need for one either. I have a 3-15 that has the little nubby sticking out of the mag ring to help with turning. I was always hitting my knuckles on it when racking the bolt or catching it on my clothes or pack straps. I sold the gun it was on and the scope now sits in my safe. If I remount it, I plan to take the nubby off.
