Is it ridiculous for me to ask if anyone has one of these for sale?

Seems like they are forever out of stock, and any time they come back into stock they are gobbled up instantly.

I'm building a proper Rockslide .223 Tikka and have been trying to get my first SWFA on eBay but the 6x never seems to pop up.

If none are available I suppose I should go for the 3-9x instead of the 10x which seems like too zoomed for hunting rifle, right?

The 10x is not too much for a hunting rifle. For me, it’s at the upper end of magnification. I used a 6x or 10x every hunt last year and I don’t really have a preference. I suppose if they made an 8x, I would own a dozen of them.

I just took a 6x off one of my backup rifles and replaced it with a 10x. It is SPF to someone though. If I replace another in the near future, I will let you know.

The 3-9x is the best of the three options, if you are willing to spend $500 (the sale or secondhand price) instead of $350.

Went with the 10x on my .223, mostly because I couldn’t find a 6x either. We’ll see how it is in the fall, but I’m super happy with it so far. Price is good on them as well.

10x Gen2 on my 6.5CM dedicated hunting rifle. Works great for me but only you would be able to say if it does for you or not. My typical range for shots are usually 50 to 250 yards. The 6x would be enough but like you said, never in stock and I’ve asked a few times. SWFA won’t give a date.
