Swfa scopes

I’ve had a 10x, 3-15, and a 12x. All fine mechanically, nothing to write home about optically. Especially in heavy mirage.

Scopes can't fix an image that was distorted before it hits the lens?
TBH, I think I'm looking mostly for the ability to resolve the image. I've heard the SWFA SS-Hd has better color contrast but nothing about resolution. Can anyone comment on the HD line specifically?
