SWFA mil-quad vs mildot

So I recently acquired a 3-9 with the mildot reticle- my other optics are the milquad reticle. I know it was an older reticle option but I figured I would give it a shot. While I am familiar with the mildot reticles- I have to say I’ve never personally owned one.

For those of you that have both - which do you prefer for hunting? And what gun/caliber are you pairing it with?

I'm thinking of pairing it with my 223 and keeping the milquad for my 300 wm.

I have both in a 3-9 and actually prefer the mildot. For whatever reason it just seems more natural to my eye. I like the mil quad too, but lean toward the mildot, and have it on my primary rifle( .270).

I just picked up a mildot and mounted it today will wait to shoot it maybe tomorrow but just looking through it I like it....

I also prefer the mil dot.

I have and use both, and I'm happy with them. No strong preference either way.
