SWFA Failure?

I am using the 3-15x42 SWFA. Went to the range this morning. Set up and fired the first shot. Went to reposition the rifle for the next shot and when I looked through the scope the reticle was so out of focus I could barely see it. I tried adjusting the focus and it wont go back into focus. Something came lose inside the scope? The odd thing is that if I move the magnification to 10x or lower its perfect. As soon as I move it past 10x it gets blurry and unusable.

Anyone experienced this?

Well, just got notice my replace shipped. Good thing I just went out and bought a new scope right away. Three months for a replacement to ship. I will give them some slack since COVID appears to have caused a lot of issues. They also replaced with no questions.

I broke a fixed 6(reticle) and a 3-9(erector) but both were replaced fast. 3 months is crazy

I thought SWFA scopes were bomb proof according to many? After seeing Amassi’s issues with them this makes Leupold’s not sound that bad after all!

Leupold are so reliable I just bought 2 more SWFA 3-9s. I now have 4 3-9 and 3 6X and 1 5-20. As long as the set and forget crowd keeps buying Loopeys they’ll be in business for a while.🤪

Did they tell you what was wrong with the first one?

I had a 3-15 that the reticle moved when the parallax was adjusted. Couldn’t figure out why a 1/2 MOA rifle was all over the place. Never even thought to check until I had taken everything apart and put it back together to check torque values and when using my collimator to re bore sight it I adjusted the parallax while looking at the collimator and thought I saw movement. Started playing with it and sure enough. Sent it back with no fuss and they refunded me 100% the day they received it and also sold me a 3-9 with a hefty discount that was a spectacular scope. Should’ve kept it, used it on the bull in my avatar. I tend to get bored with scopes and cycle through them often though.
