I was going to backorder a 3-9 SWFA for my wife (currently a 7/08 but considering a new 6.5 CM or possibly 243/6mm) but saw the 3-15 is not much more and is easier to get in stock. On paper you lose the HD glass and weighs ~5oz more with the 3-15.

The SWFA 3-9 has a great reputation for reliability and keeping zero (something which has been a problem with her current mid-range vortex). How does the 3-15 compare? Also how is the non-HD glass on scale of basic vortex scope to say Swaro Z3?

I have a 3-15 as well as one of the SS 5-20. Both have been reliable for me. The glass on the 3-15 isn’t as good as the HD. I have a 3-9 and 1-6 on back order.

I have a couple of PST FFPs, Gen 1. They don’t have anything on the SWFA 3-15 except illumination. I prefer the SWFA (even with the obnoxious turrets)
