1. The fit is sub par for how much they cost. It does cover the spotter well but it is almost too much, a bit cumbersome to manipulate the controls with the case on.
2. The objective cover magnet is not strong enough to be secure.
3. The eyepiece cover is stiff and in the way when trying to use the spotter.
4. Forget about the sunshade. May as well take the case off if you are trying to use the shade.


Overall it does its job but with how proud $$ of them they are I would expect just a little more functionality. You are always going to have some ergo problems with a case of any kind, but it just not that well thought out.

I don't know that the outdoor case will be better or worse but it looks like the cordura will have a slimmer profile than the neoprene of the SOC. It also looks like the opening on the focus/zoom is a bit larger. no experience, just my .02 not having used the outdoor case.

definitely agree with 2. Wish they used a snap like this one. If I didn’t already buy them I would probably get these.
