Maybe, but I'm not sure why it feels like people are trying to keep things a secret. S&S Archery (a site sponsor) has some great deals going -- especially with their 10% off 'Rokslide' code. If you live in a state where they won't hit you with sales tax you should be able to get the 10x42s for $1440 TYD. I got these ones at Cabela's when they were on sale for $1600. I got hit with 6% tax, but got 5% mil discount, used a gift card for a portion of the purchase, and used Active Junky for an additional 10% (which I have yet to see). Once upon a time you could get Cabela's gift cards on eBay for 80% of face value, and I've heard of Active Junky being something like 15% off on occasion. It sounds like some guys have got all the stars to align and been able to get these 10x42s for around $1200 out of pocket, whereas I'm sitting at about $1350 (once Active Junky comes through... and assuming that it actually does!).

Am I missing something? I just picked up Swarovski SLC’s 10x42 for $1500 no sales tax free shipping.
