So I traded a fella on here a pair of new Maven 12x56's for a set of 10x42 SLC's that are a little older but in really great shape and the glass is perfect. Unfortunately they need to be collimated as they are pretty severely double vision. Just wondering if anyone has a bead on current Swaro repair times or knows of someone who can do it quick. I leave for an elk hunt on the 10th and as of now I have no binos to take with me. Any info helps, thanks in advance.

Did you call them? I don't think your going to make your timeline before the hunt

I talked to them and they explained what they thought was going on but didn’t give a timeline since “they don’t actually know” until they see the bino’s.

Around a dozen repairs with Swarovski in the last bit- 6 to 8 weeks has been the norm.

This ^^ My X5i was shipped to them at the end of July, went to Austria, got back to me last week.

At what point do I put the guy on blast? He said they were fine before he shipped them but the box he sent them in has ABSOLUTELY no damage so it’s hard to imagine that they took that hard of a knock on their way here. He’s completely unresponsive to all communications now.

What’s blast? Seriously doubt he tried to screw you since he could have sent it to Swaro if he thought there was an issue. Box wouldn’t have to be damaged for the bino to be mishandled in shipping if it didn’t have adequate padding.

The box was well padded. If simple shipping is enough to knock a prism out that far, I’m surprised every pair of bino’s doesn’t show up with double vision. Based off our texting conversation and the fact that he no longer has a profile on here, it would appear as though he is indeed trying to pull a fast one.

Another member is going to help me out with a loaner set of bino's while the Swaro's are out for repair. Issue is resolved. Thanks for everyone's help.

Yeah that is fishy, Swaro will take care of you but crappy situation.
