Whoever it was that posted a picture of it on the Rokslide Instagram can you give us a review on the 1.7x multiplier?

I've historically found multipliers not to hold enough image quality in what Canon has put out. I'm not sure the loss in quality will be that big of a deal when looking through a spotting scope.

I'm very curious to see a few images of an object with edges at distance with and without the extender.

Swarvoski Extender 17x

I have it. I've been trying to get a good picture with the Phone Skope but the iPhone doesn't like 120 power for some reason. I will try again this weekend.

What are you initial impressions of it? How much image quality do you loose with it?

To me, you don't lose much! But I need more time with it under different conditions.

Ryan, how is it for just classing at 100 and up power.

I've only had it out a few times. The mirage is a factor once you hit 100x but in good conditions it's amazing how crisp this system is. I do have a outdoorsmans micro head on my tripod and with the ME and 95 it's about at max capacity.

Ha, I don't know how informative it was but with the BTX and the ME you will be "seeing" a lot!

Post your thoughts up here when you have looked through it.

A couple months ago I looked through the BTX with the ME on it. I tried it on the 65 and 95. The 95 was what I expected... Awesome! The 65 blew me away with how bright and crisp it was in a somewhat packable system.

Everything should arrive by Wednesday... Will post up when it all gets here and report back... Will compare the 65 with and with out the magnifier and both eye pieces.

Looking forward to getting these new items! I am headed into the CO high country horseback for 4-5 days at the end of this month to do some recon and a little fishing. Going to take the ATX and BTX eye pieces along with the 65 and magnifier and plan to compare those to my SLC 15x56 to get a sense of how I want to roll this Fall.

I absolutely love glassing through my SLC's so it's hard to imagine not taking them... But do I need them with the BTX....

BTX's shipped a week late but they did ship today for Monday delivery. Headed to Colorado on Thursday of this coming week. Will take pictures and do some investigating and comparing on the CO trip between the 15x56 SLC and BTX/ATX eye pieces on a 65 with and without the 1.7 extender. Will post my findings as soon as I get back the following week.

Should be a lot of fun playing with these new toys up in the Colorado high country!

Ive had the 1.7 extender for a couple months now. only taken the scope out a few times and its pretty incredible, I havnt had the chance to look at much game with it yet. I will give a better review after my first sheep hunt in a couple weeks. I run the 95mm objective and in good light 120x is as bright and clear as any other spotter at 60x. I keep catching myself trying to turn the magnification wheel even more.

What tripod are you using for sheep hunting with that scope??

It’s important to note the 1.7 is not a doubler. A doubler would go on the back of an eyepiece magnifying the image you see. The me 1.7 goes in between magnifying the image before it gets to your ocular device. (Better image quality)
