Swarovski Gimbal head

Has anybody tried it or seen it in person? I have looked all over the web and can’t find anything on it. I am using the RRS ball head now and wondering if I would like the gimbal better. My btx 95 just sits in my living room, never carried around or in the field. Thanks for any ideas!

My opinion is based on using it one time, briefly, in 2019. Take that into consideration. The head is bulky and looked heavy, neither of which are issues with your application. As you would expect from Swaro, it is high quality. Adjustments and operation were smooth with an STX 95. I had never operated a gimbal, but picked up the technique easily. It would be nice if someone could confirm if you'd want/need a rail to balance the BTX 95. Sorry I can't offer more specifics.

Thanks for the tip that it is the same as the Gitzo! I was able to find all kinds of mixed reviews on it. I am not sure that I am exited about it anymore!!

I have my BTX95 on one with a balance rail. If you're reading a review make sure it's for a spotter.

I'd definitely recommend a balance rail.
