Swarovski EL 8.5x42 vs 10x32

Hello Everyone - my first post at Rokslide, although I've always come here for info. Classic lurker. I have the opportunity to get either a Swarovski EL 8.5x42 or 10x32 for relatively cheap. This would be used mainly in PA for deer and elk viewing. 10x42 is not an option in this scenario. What would you pick? Thanks in advance.

8.5x42. bigger field, better low-light.

I see no reason to own a 32 as it limits field of view and light gathering. I would by the 8.5 over a 10 any day of the week for my hu ting style.

Had the 10 x 32. Now got the 8.5 x 42. Wayyyy better.

I'm gonna go against the grain on this one. I have 10x42 EL's and 10x32 EL's, the 32's are so nice to have strapped to my chest when I'm in a tree, much smaller and lighter than the 42's. If I'm sitting on a hilltop glassing, then the 42's will definitely get the nod.

And thanks for the fast responses. Cabelas had them on sale, plus 10% off today. I had a ton of gift cards and points that I was saving up for a few years. My final cost was $377!!
